The batter tastes like a yellow cake and vanilla pudding hybrid. Nothing wrong with that.

But don't worry, it's not one of those cakes without chocolate...

Because here comes the good part- half of the batter goes in your greased 13x9...

liberally sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar...

and then add the star, semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Pour the remaining batter on top, repeat with cinnamon sugar and chocolate chips.
Bake at 350F (or 325F for glass pans) for 35 minutes and mmmmmmm...

mmmmmmmmmmmm...

mmmmmmmmmmm...

In case you were wondering, it is good heated up with coffee for breakfast. Or, brunch... dessert... snack... mmmmm...
OK, I'm done.

Chocolate Chip Cake
From My Kitchen Cafe
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/3 cups sour cream
2/3 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
cinnamon sugar (approximate- just use enough to cover your layers)
1 bag chocolate chips, divided
350 degrees (325 if using a glass pan). Grease a 9 X 13 pan with cooking spray.
Beat together butter and sugar, add in sour cream, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients (except for cinnamon sugar & chocolate) and mix for 1 minute at low speed; mix 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased pan. Generously sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over batter and then top with 1/2 bag of chocolate chips. Pour remaining cake batter on top and spread across bottom layer. Repeat with cinnamon and sugar and chocolate chips. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with only a few crumbs (don't over-bake or cake will be dry!).

I NEED some!
