1 month with Sister

I know, 2 post in 1 day!?  Gotta do it while the napping is good... While doing the 1 month post for AP I had so many pictures of her with J, I decided that should be it's own post.

J is being such a "niiice" (new word) big brother. When he wakes up, when she cries, when she is napping, whenever he hasn't seen her in a while- he'll grab one of our hands, look us intensely in the eye, and say, "baaaby? baaaby?" nodding his head furiously (what he does when he wants you to cooperate).

J really has been our little helper with Bean.

He urgently runs to get her pacifier when she cries. And puts it in her mouth even more urgently.

He bounces the hoppy days when she's fussy...

Introduces her to his friends...

Makes sure she isn't bored during tummy time...

or uncomfortable during naps.

He makes sure she is never alone...

and always feels very loved.

It's going to be very fun watching the two of them grow up together.

Then, as M puts it, "they will figure out how to work together- and we'll be in trouble."

Bean's First Month

I originally intended to post these pictures "along the way".  But, over-lapping nap times are rare and valuable! Today I decided the laundry is not going anywhere, but AP is changing by the day.

Happy 1 month, Bean!

Looking through these pictures makes me think it's time for another amateur photo shoot!

I have to write these down...

before I forget.

*J woke up about an hour early from his nap the other day.  I gave him a few minutes to see if he'd go back to sleep. When the crying became hysterical I went in his room.  He was crawling up and down his bed frantically crying, "beebee, beebee!" J's green blanket had fallen on the floor, and sweet boy won't get out of his bed (even though he can) during "nigh-night" times.   We spent the next hour cuddled on the couch, with green blanket, watching sprout tv and eating cheerios.

*Last night we sat down to dinner, J immediately grinned, and held out his hands for us to hold and bless our food.  He then bowed his head and closed his eyes when M started praying.  Seeing that this is obviously a very impressionable time, I decided we should pray at breakfast time to start our day. J insisted on getting down from the table so he could hold AP's hand, too.

M and I have discussed recently how SWEET toddlers* (see above for proof) are. That is all, just that they are really sweet. Of course, I could also go on and on about how amazing it is to see their little thoughts, vocabularies and feelings grow more complex each day... but, there is ironing, so I'll stop at sweet. :) Can't wait to see AP's personality develop...

*I have also been thinking that J needs a new category, "Baby J" just doesn't fit anymore. Sniff.

Mother & Baby E514

This post is a little later than I wanted... but sleep deprivation, a busy toddler, and wonderful family time have rightly taken preference!

As mentioned in my last post, my parents flew in the day after AP was born.  Such a blessing that in spite of being very far away they were able to meet AP so early.  They stayed with J at our house Saturday night, which also meant that they were able to spend some quality time with our new big brother. M's family was also in and out of the hospital visiting, it was so nice to spend time with everyone!

I'm not going to include much narrative for the following pictures.  First of all, I think they are pretty self explanatory. Second, AP is starting to make a fuss... Third, M just saved J from an old-fashioned face plant and it's only a matter of time before he comes over here and pushes every button on the laptop... oh, and it's close to dinner time.

I do have to mention that AP wiggled her "hugs" tag off on Saturday and security beat down our door...

seriously, no more captions... typing with one hand.

OK, I have hands again.

Watching some football... it was still a Fall Saturday after all.

From my sister and her family... who are too far away.

Sweet friends...

Aunt Minsey made sure AP had a bow. :)

And, we're (finally!) outta here.

I'll leave you of one last shot of blondie.

Back (hopefully) soon.
