Tuesday, It's the New Monday

Because I work part time, Tuesday holds a sting for me that most people are over by 5 o'clock on Monday afternoon.  I walk around with a tired look and grimace, while everyone else seems to have accepted (albeit grudgingly) the weekday reality. Of course, Thursday is my Friday, so I imagine the early spring in my step could be a little bit annoying.

My Tuesday, (but with all the emotional properties of a Monday), hit it's first rough patch as I tried to explain to daycare why J only need 2 bottles.  Explaining a feeding schedule to a woman who has probably been a believer in on-demand feeding since the 1950's did not prove very productive. I'm about 95% sure she didn't listen to a word I said. Today might be the day I get my first phone call...

So I must remind myself "to pull down the moon". It's just a small detail.

Jimmy Agan recently spoke on the below passage at our church. It seems a bit obscure at first, but he explained that it paints such a big and powerful vision of Jesus.  A voice that mutes everything else and infinite wisdom.  He used a great analogy for the size of Jesus in our lives, "we need to pull down the moon".  The moon only looks small in comparison to the vast sky, when it is lower in the sky and compared with say, a tree, we can begin to understand it's true size.
12I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man,"[a]dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. 16In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.17When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Revelation 1:12-18

All that rambling. Guess I should have some reward at the end of this post for making it this far.  How about this guy?

Have a great Tuesday. Hope it feels like a Friday.

What's the dealio?

Do electronics self destruct after 5 years?  WHY is our camera (yes, it is "just a point and shoot", but it's a nice point and shoot) doing this:

You may also be wondering why our infant is on the kitchen counter, but that was yesterday's post.  M immediately thought I had accidentally messed with the settings (and normally, he'd be right), but after consulting the manual even the electronics genie admitted that all the settings are normal.  Obviously there is an over-exposure issue, possibly related to a broken shutter?  If we change it to one of the faster shutter speed settings with no flash we get this result:

Yes, yes, grandparents, still adorable... but, I could get better quality with a disposable.  I am currently saving up for a DSLR, but I was really wanting our little digital to make it another year, and then keep it handy in my purse (ok, diaper bag).  Anyone familiar with this problem?  Advice?  At the very least Sony will be receiving a call this afternoon from a panicked mother who just missed capturing some invaluable moment.  J's baptism is this Sunday, and we can't have that memory looking like a film negative.

Furthermore, who will be interested in recipes when our dinner looks like this:
